Resources as you read Legacy: A Story of Hope ...
Legacy is a unique book. It combines real environmental science and solutions with the characters and storyline of a novel. Legacy offers a vision of the next four decades, as green techniques and technologies come into mainstream use.
The notes on the following webpages will help you understand the reality within Legacy. While many of these references are positive and Transformative, some, unfortunately, are not. At this early point on the bell-curve of Ari’s Transformation Wave, our society’s progress toward Sustainability is slow; there are many delays and setbacks. Yet it is important to realize the magnitude of the movement underway.
We must remind ourselves that we are still living in a world akin to Part I of the novel; we have not yet broken out into the action of Chapters 6 and 7, the victory of Chapters 9 and 10. We are still living in Chapters 2-4 where we meet fellow travelers on the path, the people with whom we will eventually work together to make the dream a reality. We are still living in Chapter 4 where we are digesting big ideas. The pioneers and innovators, the Cassandras, Ricks and Wades, have been working for decades, yet the real work of the Change Agents and Transformers begins right now. Our society still has before us Chapter 5, Committing to the path of change.
Legacy is a book that does not end when you close the cover. Now is when the Real story begins. Come join us.

“Tia, it’s happening. The Transformation Wave. It’s here, it’s real, it’s growing. It’s in that gathering, it’s in gatherings like that all over the state, the country, the world. I just can’t believe it. I hoped for this for so long and it’s actually coming alive. I hoped for it, but honestly, there were times when I didn’t believe it would really happen.”
“You made it happen, darling! Your victory, your accomplishment!” She smiled at him.
He rounded on her, his eyes hard reality. “Oh no, it’s not my victory.” He turned her to face the large windows and the party inside the house. “It’s their victory. They’re the ones who have done it, with counterparts in countless other cities. They’re not superhumans, just everyday people, each one doing his or her part.
“The amazing thing is that each one has made a conscious choice to guide this world toward what it ought to be. One at a time they decided: I won’t accept this environmental degradation, I won’t accept this denigration of people, I’m going to do something about it. I’m going to take action toward positive change. And before you know it, those efforts add up.”
