The Fair emphasizes the following:

Local issues, from local wetlands, to urban issues like transportation. Local people, local resources, local solutions.

Educational, awareness-raising, horizon-broadening. We encourage participants to reach beyond the idea that "the environment" is just the waters of Ballona or Santa Monica Bay. Earth Care takes place right here in Westchester, all around us, in our pantries, our garages, our closets, our offices, our daily choices.

Non-commercial. We're a community sharing contacts and resources. Enlightenment about our environmental choices may better take place in the absence of the pressures of consumerism.

A full panorama. We're showcasing issues and solutions from many aspects of urban life - our food, our gardens, our transportation, our power, our spirit.
